|Pure Zing's Social Media Site Creates Buzz Among Natural Product Seekers
Over 800 blog visitors compete for daily ‘green’ prize giveaways
St. Augustine Beach, FL October 23, 2007 -- Pure Zing, owner of one of the most popular websites dedicated to reviewing green, natural products, recently launched its social-media site as a means to introduce consumers to safe, green products in a fun, interactive way. The "Small Green 31-Day Giveway", featured on Pure Zing's blog and launched October 1st, is a social media experiment mixing "try-vertising" marketing tactics with natural products education and blog viral marketing. The concept for the PR campaign was created by Thorell Associates of Orlando, FL, in cooperation with Syndicate Digital Productions of Vancouver, B.C.
During the campaign, Pure Zing's blog features a daily natural product giveaway, alongside a review of the day's featured product. Blog commenters are invited to win by providing creative answers to natural products- related questions, ranging from serious environmental issues to personal testimonials to the deeply silly.
Page Remick, CEO of Pure Zing and a green consumer advocate, said that the blog campaign serves two purposes. "It's a great interactive tool that allows online consumers to learn about exquisite, hard-to-find, natural products," said Remick. "It also provides participating product suppliers with a marketing tool to understand consumer reaction to their products and product presentation. Many small, natural product companies focus their efforts on producing high-quality, safe and sustainable products. They don't have the resources to manage and maintain interactive marketing campaigns with potential customers."

Since the campaign launched, Pure Zing's blog traffic has surged from 10 daily visitors to 50 - 80 visitors per day, with a peak day of 175.
