Cast Iron… The original Non-Stick Cookware!

Cast Iron - The Original Non-Stick!Well seasoned cast iron skillets and pots are durable, have great bottoms to distribute heat evenly, and fit the budget of any cook. Not to mention, no toxicity, unlike the coated non stick skillets today.

How to season your new cast iron skillet

1. Wash first with hot soapy water & dry

2. When you season cast iron you allow oil not only to coat the inside but to go into its microscopic crevices, creating a natural non stick finish. Brush a thin coat of canola oil onto every surface of the skillet or pot, including the inside of the lid if there is one.

3. Place aluminum foil onto oven rack to catch any dripping oil.

4. Preheat oven to 350, and place skillet or pot with lid upside down.

5. Bake for 1 hour

6. Allow to cool

7. Your new non stick skillet or pot is now ready to cook with, the more you use it the better the non stick surface will become to develop a well seasoned cast iron skillet.
