PureZing Home

This is the perfect time of year to invest in organic bedding! Soft, billowy comforters, plush, lofty pillows and wooly blankets will keep everyone in your family warm.

To keep your house clean no matter what the wind whips in, read our reviews of child-friendly and environmentally friendly cleaners and if it’s too cold for you and your pets to play outside, toss your pets a few bones…or mice: organic ones, that is!

Nothing warms a cool fall day or evening better than a kitchen where cooking is taking place.  The fragrance of freshly baked bread, roasted vegetables, spices and sumptuous sautés make autumn a cook’s delight.

If you want your dinner guests to feel at home, for your food to seem to taste better and for the ambiance of your home to glow, a few essential oils in a diffuser will do the trick.

Great side benefit of this oil blend? It gives the hostess confidence! Just blend a few drops of the following oils and heat them in a candle diffuser…and then party on!

Lemon . Lime . Vetiver . Ginger . Cardamom

A few drops each warmed in the water of a diffuser a half an hour before your party…and guest will enter and immediately feel at ease. Conversation will flow, the food will taste great…and the hostess will get compliments: complements of the power of natural essential oils!

If the oils are not available locally, be sure and find them online at purveyors of natural (not synthetic) essential oils.

Super Homemade Laundry Soap

We made our own laundry soap and it was simple. Instead of 30-70 cents per load, we now have 3 gallons of super laundry soap for just 3 cents per load! Wash away your financial troubles with this easy to make laundry soap recipe. All the ingredients are natural and naturally super cleaners!

Go to your nearest restaurant or deli and ask them for one of their empty 5 gallon containers with a lid. Now that you have the container, you can quickly and easily make 3 gallons of the soap:

Ingredients: 1 bar of soap; grated, 4 cups water, 3 gallons water, 1 cup washing soda, 1/2 cup Borax, essential oils of your choice.

Directions: Pick a bar of soap (we like coconut soap) and grate it. Boil 4 cups of water and add the grated soap. Stir to melt the soap. Put 3 gallons of water in your big container. Add the hot soapy water and stir. Add the washing soda and stir. Add the Borax and stir. Add whatever essential oils you want for fragrance. Stir and then put the big container aside and let cool without its lid. The next day, the watery liquid will have turned to a thick gel. You can now put the lid on the container.

Use 1/2 cup - 1 cup per load of laundry.
