Lavender Facial Scrub: a gentle, fragrant facial scrub that you can tailor to your skin’s needs.
We love this facial scrub! Is your face dry? Add some mashed avocado to this scrub. Is your face looking tired? Rev this scrub up by adding some crushed blueberries or strawberries. Breakouts? Try a little yogurt mixed into this facial scrub base. Or, just add a little warm water and make a delightful and fragrant scrub all by itself.
½ cup ground lavender flowers (ask a florist, grow and harvest your own, or buy online)
½ cup unsalted almonds (we use organic, raw almonds)
1 cup ground oatmeal (real oatmeal, not the instant kind)
Grind all the ingredients in a blender or processor very finely. Place in a jar with a lid. To use, put about 1 Tablespoon in the palm of your hand and add enough warm water to make a paste. Apply to your face, rubbing gently. Allow the scrub to dry on your face for 5 minutes, then rinse. Spritz with a toner, apply your favorite moisturizer and glow!
