Serves 4-6 as an appetizer
INGREDIENTS: 1 lb. blanced almonds (skinned) 1 ½ Tablespoons coarse sea salt ½ teaspoon hot paprika ¼ teaspoon garlic powder 1 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a small processor or mortar, grind salt, paprika and garlic powder together till it is fine. Toast the almonds in a single layer on a cookie sheet 8-10 minutes till golden brown. Watch carefully as they can quickly burn!
Put almonds in a bowl and toss with olive oil. Add more oil if necessary to make sure the almonds are completely coated. Sprinkle with the paprika/salt/garlic mixture and toss, evenly distributing the seasoning. Serve.
