HUMMUS PITA SANDWICH

This healthful sandwich is easy to prepare and makes a great take-to-work lunch.

INGREDIENTS:

4 (7-inch) pita breads
18oz hummus dip
8 green leaf lettuce leaves
2 large tomatoes, thinly sliced
1 red onion, thinly sliced
1 cup alfalfa sprouts

DIRECTIONS:

Cut each pita bread in half to form two pockets. Spread hummus equally into the cavity of each pita pocket. Line each pocket with a lettuce leaf; fill with remaining ingredients, divided equally.
