The wide mouth screw top jar allows you to get your whole hand in…and allows the lovely fragrance to surround you at the same time. Just sitting writing this review with the lid off is delightful as it fragrances the area with its soft and natural perfume.

The ingredients are sugar, shea butter, olive oil, grapeseed oil, macadamia oil, dendetric salt, glycerin, vitamin E, vitamin C, rosemary oleoresin, rose geranium, and litsea cubeba essential oils and pulverized rose. Yes, the pale pink color flecked with tiny bits of red is real rose…as the fragrance reveals. Rather than being sweetly rose, the addition of essential oil of verbena, adds a soft spiciness and complexity.

The consistency is thick. There is just enough oil to sugar ratio that there is no drippiness. Rather than scooping out a handful of oil with some sugar, you scoop out sugar that is moistened with fragrant oil. The sugar is all the way to the top of this wide 8-ounce jar, so you have plenty to scrub with.

The grain of sugar is fine: like table sugar. It goes a long way and does not melt quickly. You get plenty of gentle but thorough exfoliant power, before you rinse. This scrub washes off easily and leaves a fine gloss of oil on your skin. When you pat dry, there is no heavy film of oil…just softness, and the lovely fragrance that lingers.

While this is a perfect scrub to use in the shower, one of our team members also liked scrubbing with this as she stood in a bath. She then slipped into the warm water and let it melt off of her skin…soaking in rose and oil flecked water. The fragrance filled her bathroom and remained on her skin for hours.
