Do you like spicy but not hot? Just the tiniest tingle on your tongue and tons of flavor? Mmmm! We think that you will love this sauce! This is a second place winner in the 2008 Chile Pepper’s Magazine, Golden Chile category of the Fiery Food Show as well as a third place winner in the 2007 America’s Best Professional Food Competition. Oh yeah….it also got a third place award in the coveted Scovie Awards of 2007. In other words, a whole lot of discriminating palates keep recognizing this sauce as a standout from hundreds of others, year after year!

Not being ‘FIERY’ foods fanatics, as we believe that once the capsicums have annihilated any chance of tasting for the next hour or two, we like that this sauce is more flavor that fire. In fact, it has tons more flavor as it has a slowly roasted and cooked compendium of real shallots and real garlic added to this supplier’s ‘Warm’ sauce. Now we all know how absolutely delicious roasted shallots and garlic are…in fact they make any recipe richer and more complex tasting….and that’s what this sauce is all about.

The ingredients are water, sugar, shallots, vinegar, roasted garlic, tomatoes, corn syrup solids, salt, mustard seed, ancho peppers, molasses, Cayenne pepper, Habanero pepper, onions, spices, natural flavor, citric acid and xanthum gum. The sauce is thick, has a tomato aroma with a subtle molasses undertone and the 10.7-ounce jar disappears pretty fast as it is so yummy. In fact, this could be slightly addictive as there is so much flavor to it that you just want to keep tasting and tasting it!

Personally, I like it poured over cream cheese and served with crackers. Wowee! Other team members like to slather it all over chicken. Of course, this sauce is rich enough to also stand up to any red meat that you like and the flavor deepens on the barbeque. We haven’t done it yet, but we plan on adding this to Chile and also to some stews. A dash in any soup would be a welcome surprise and a dollop in a Bloody Mary sounds very tempting! Instead of throwing in Tabasco, try adding this to your vegetable juice…and of course, this would be a Zingy dip for shrimp cocktail. The creator of this incredible sauce has two recipe suggestions: Sweet Sunshine Twice Baked Potatoes and Sweet Sunshine Oven-Roasted Fries be sure and try both recipes!

Does this sound super versatile? It is! Maybe that’s another reason that it won three awards! Thick, rich, full of deep flavor with just enough kick to keep it from disappearing into the bland background blur of basic sauces, this sauce will enliven your taste buds, as well as dozens of your recipes. Do we like it? Yikes! Zing! This is a winner. Try it for yourself if you like a mouthwatering, rich, complex and Zingy sauce that you will find yourself eating off a spoon.
