DRUNKEN TOMATOES AND SPIKED SALT

20 Appetizer Bites

INGREDIENTS:

1 pint cherry tomatoes
2/3 cup vodka
2 Tablespoon Sea salt
1 Tablespoon fresh cilantro leaves, chopped very finely
1 Tablespoon ground cumin
Pinch of cayenne pepper

DIRECTIONS:

With a toothpick, puncture each tomato in at least six places.

Put tomatoes in a shallow bowl and pour in vodka. Marinate the tomatoes at least two hours, turning often. With a slotted spoon remove the tomatoes and drain on paper towels. (Reserve tomatoey vodka for Bloody Marys!)

In a small serving bowl, combine sea salt, cilantro, cumin and cayenne. Mix well.

Serve tomatoes on a small plate with salt bowl in the middle.
